2007 Grant
The Women's Fund decided on a women's health initiative through a challenge grant presented by the Women's Fund of Greater Birmingham and from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. The Women's Fund awarded a $10,000 grant to the University of South Alabama Mitchell Cancer Institute to assist women of poverty and color living in South Mobile County who were directly impacted by Hurricane Katrina. 2006 Grant
The 2006 grant initiative focused on helping a female-headed household with financial need and who was already enrolled in either a two- or four-year college, or vocational training program. Due to the lack of qualified applicants, The Women's Fund was not able to award a grant in 2006.
